The Canteen will provide Hydration like last year. The Emergency Preparedness Fair will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 in Todos Santos Park in downtown Concord. The goal of the Fair is to help residents prepare for emergencies by providing convenient access to emergency preparedness information, goods, and services. We anticipate that the Fair will be a well-attended, family-friendly event. Generally on this evening our park has 1,500 to 2,000 visitors. Hours of Operation Exhibit Set-up: 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fair: 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Exhibit Shut-down: 8:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

This date is Walnut Creek CERT Drill Con-Fire academy

Walnut Creek CERT Drill will be a "multi-city drill" to be held at the Con-Fire academy on Treat Blvd. The Buena Vista CERT ICS team will be handling the Incident Command positions for that exercise and will be augmented by CERTs from other cities. The very preliminary forecast is for 200 to 250 participants. Marybeth Paris is hosting the drill for Con-Fire and has the overall responsibility of coordinating the exercise. Plans call for the Salvation Army canteen to be on the academy grounds that day and the plan is to serve lunch to the attendees.
